I started printing to make Christmas cards, following my grandmother’s tradition, and nearly 50 years later I still usually carve and print my holiday card. I continue to be inspired by my grandmother’s prints, small and detailed or larger, multi-layered and graphically stunning.

Over the last 10 years I have been making more prints, carved in softcut linoleum and capturing many lovely places on the Maine coast. Whether it is painting or printing, it is shape that catches my eye, and printmaking is a satisfying medium for playing with shape.
